Class will additionally have great emphasis on all Basic Spin positions – upright, sit and camel to increase the quality of all spins.

Edge Classes – High Edge (High FS 6 & up), Med/Low Edge (Low FS 6- under)

This class will help the skaters develop turns on the proper edge pattern and how to obtain additional power through development and use of their edges. ie… three turns, counters, brackets, twizzles, and loops.

Power Classes – High Power (High FS 6 & up) , Low Power (Low FS 6 & under)

This class is designed to add power, strength and speed to your skating along with improving cardiovascular endurance.

Off-Ice Jump Classes –  High Jump (High FS 6 & up), Med/Low Jump (Low FS 6 & under)

This class is an off-ice training program that is sport specific, function-based, and designed to help achieve the correct height to perform on ice jumps. Through plyometric strength training skaters will not only improve on their jumps but also will improve on their agility, power, core strength and balance.

Creativity Class – (PreFS & above)

There is more to skating than jumping, spinning and connecting steps.  These are just elements. Truly wonderful skaters effectively manipulate elements to make a statement.  This skill begins with understanding the craft of movement.  Creativity class facilitates movement understanding by reaching the part of the skater that is the composer not the performer.  It is an activity in which physical movement is used  non-functionally and as personal expression.  It is fulfilling to skaters because it engages the mind, body and spirit.

There will be NO freestyle ice on Tuesday, December 26th.
