The Skating Academy at Southwest Ice Arena offers multiple classes for people with a desire to master the skill of ice skating.  We have developed a world-class program that provides all participants a positive atmosphere to achieve their goals. Whether you are learning to ice skate for fun, or focused on becoming a hockey player or competitive figure skater, Southwest has a program for you.

Practice Makes Perfect! Whether the recreational or competitive skater, we welcome all freestyle level skaters to practice their skills during our freestyle sessions.  All sessions are general sessions, allowing for practice of all disciplines of figure skating. Our instructors and staff value parental involvement and encourage parents to partner with our team to give your child the most rewarding and FUN learning experience possible.
